Benjamin started building websites in 2020, creating simple HTML and CSS sites for small Minecraft servers. Over the years that grew into professional web development focused on modern design, security, SEO and websites built to turn visitors into enquiries.
Design and writing working together
Benjamin has worked within the freelance content writing scene for three years and studied screenwriting and advertising at Yoobee Colleges in 2021. That background now goes into writing clear, persuasive website content designed to explain the business properly and encourage customers to take action.

There are no account managers or layers of communication. Benjamin handles the planning, design, development and content personally, so ideas and feedback do not get lost between different people.

What counts as an included edit?
An included edit can cover a full content replacement, image changes, new notices, or another requested content update. You can batch related changes into one request, using one monthly edit allowance. Price changes and minor fixes do not use your monthly edit allowance. Subject to fair use.
Care can be added to a new Better Site project or discussed for an existing website after a quick review.
Is the homepage mockup really free?
Yes. It is a temporary live homepage preview with no payment and no obligation. If you decide not to continue, it is taken down and destroyed.
Is it a complete free website?
No. The free mockup is a preview only. A complete website is the paid Better Business Site.
What does the Better Business Site cost?
It is a flat $499 NZD total. BetterSiteNZ is not GST-registered, so GST is not charged. There is one core website offer.
What is included in the $499 website?
It includes a complete mobile-first website, content writing, SEO and metadata setup, services and offer sections, a contact form, up to 3 revision rounds, 1 month of Priority hosting and maintenance, and 1 year of a .co.nz domain if you choose one through BetterSiteNZ.
When do I pay?
Payment is due within 3 days of launch. If paying the full amount at once is difficult, a no-interest plan of four $124.75 payments over one month can be agreed in writing. A site can be taken offline after reasonable notice if an agreed payment is overdue and there is no response.
Do I receive the website files?
Yes. Once the website is paid in full, you own the completed site. Full files are available on request, whether you host with BetterSiteNZ or elsewhere.
Are hosting and a domain included?
The build includes 1 month of Priority hosting and maintenance. Starter and Priority Care provide ongoing managed hosting, backups and support. A .co.nz domain obtained through BetterSiteNZ is included for its first year and renews for $10 per year.
What happens if I stop a care plan?
No notice is required. Hosting ends when the paid monthly or yearly period ends. If you do not already have the files, they can be provided before the hosted site is deleted. Domains managed by BetterSiteNZ are for BetterSiteNZ websites only and can be renewed for $10 per year.
Can I add pages after launch?
Content pages included in the original build are free. After launch, additional standard content pages are $15 each. Ecommerce and custom features are not currently offered; existing booking services may be embedded if you arrange and pay for them directly.
Is SEO included?
SEO setup such as titles, descriptions, headings and logical page structure is included. Rankings, traffic and enquiries cannot be guaranteed.
How long does it take?
The homepage mockup is prepared within 3 business days. The complete site timeline depends on content, feedback and the agreed build.
Do you work outside Christchurch?
Yes. BetterSiteNZ works with businesses across New Zealand.
